About Chasing Tales
I love a story. Any kind of story. They’re the most memorable part of a person! So, my goal is to chase down those tales – those hidden gems that make an impact – and present them to the world. This is more than just a publishing company; it’s a community.
Whether you’re a small business owner, a budding writer, or are ready to publish, my Tale Chasers group and I will offer invaluable support and experience.
I am looking forward to partnering with you to develop your masterpiece! Send me a message to get started.
The Writer Behind The Name
I’m Jen, a determined nitpicker with a passion for the written word. With a BA(Hons) from Chichester University in English and Women’s Studies and previous work in publishing, paper sales and printing, I live and breathe books. Behind-the-scenes, I can be found diving into my own science fiction and genealogical novels, or pointing out spelling and grammar errors in menus, local newspapers and anything else that involves writing (I’m working on this one, I promise).
I am building an oddball publishing company for book-obsessed writers and readers with quirks. We will have a ‘by geeks for geeks’ vibe; inclusive and fun – there is enough division and misery in the normal world thanks!
Bring out your stories, your unvoiced musings. Weary wonderers – I will hear you and help you chase your tales; I want to coax unsure creatives away from quiet caves to wander the wordworld and get your work ‘out there OUT THERE!’
Chasing Tales will provide a community space for us all with idea-bouncing, networking and chatter. My favourite tales explore new worlds with historical elements or old worlds with magic; let’s go!
My Goals
Freedom to write and publish speculative fiction and genealogy-inspired novels is my main goal. I would rather be reading fiction or history than travelling, for example. My plan is to work with words however I can – proofreading websites, promotional material, memoirs etc and improving the work of self-publishing writers will be the start. I want to end up thinking of magic and time travel as I pay my bills!
